SANTARCTICA

Synopsis:

Santarctica. The most northerly planet in human territory, an ice planet, is where you may find the workshop of an old friend: Santa Claus.
Have you ever seen his ride? An unusually shaped spaceship with a red nose, known as Santa’s Space Sleigh.
And have you met his helpers? That's right, little green men.
A wonderful team which has managed to deliver Christmas presents all around the universe for centuries.
And always in time.
Until now...

Inspiration:

I wanted to do a remake of the wellknown poem "A visit from Saint Nicholas", better known as "Twas the night before Christmas". Working on the illustrations for this special edition, I realized there hardly are any Christmas stories including aliens. So I searched for some, possible, bookcovers and found this adorable little guy. I got lost in his eyes; lost in space and most of all lost in my own fantasy. And this is the result: a fun story for the young and those who still feel young (who doesn't...)
