Inspiration:
I am a writer. A Fiction writer, although sometimes I also write Non Fiction and I also create art. My fiction includes Crime, Science Fiction, Horror and Romance. Oh, and lots of short stories I call Twisted Tales. All, like Roald Dahl's Tales of the Unexpected, with a plot twist.
Friday July 5, 2024 I experienced a real life twist that totally caught me by surprise. Without a warning, my lovely wife passed away, right in front of me.
As a tribute to the love of my life I wrote "End of the Season". Filled with Love and Laughter ... and the inevitable Heartbreak. It is mostly realistic but, being a fiction writer, it is also partly fiction. However, in all its pureness it is our story.
I ran a (successful) Kickstarter campaign for this book. One of the rewards was a piece of art, a specially crafted Book Box:
A (signed) paperback in a unique wall ornament: acrylics and mixed media on wood, approx. 30x30x6 cm (approx. 11.8x11.8x2.3 inch), with a recess where the book fits in. Each wall ornament is handmade, so it may differ slightly from the one pictured here (the piece pictured is EA -
Epreuve d'Artiste / not for sale), provided with a signature and COA (Certificate of Authenticity). Limited edition: 15 pieces. The wall ornament is painted on both sides and can also be placed as a table object. There are two recesses on the back to hang the artwork on the wall with screws or hooks.
