Synopsis:

If there is order, there’s chaos. Porsha Gibeon is living the chaotic life. An erratic life with uncontrollable twists caused by her zany gothic friend, the coarse beaked Nola Fester; her lame brother, ‘gameboy’ Stern, and her crass dad Levine.

Oh and her cat, Shades of course. They all have influence on Porsha’s life. Making the impossible possible and making the never expected to happen anyway. Although it must be said that Porsha is more than capable to screw her own life…

Porsha Gibeon is in her early twenties. Her ‘bedroom - slash office’, is a self made design centre where she works hard to establish her own T-shirt brand. Ready to conquer the world of fashion and desperate to find the love of her life.

Falling in love is easy, finding real love seems near to impossible. Especially if those lovers turn out to be involved in dark, criminal activities…

Porsha’s life is unpredictable, hilarious and edgy. Or, as she likes to say: “It’s my mess and I love it!”

Inspiration: 

Having a "girl-only" family, inspiration is available all around me. I was challenged by my girls to write a chicklit novel.
"I can do that" was easily said.
Writing the story appeared to be really challenging.
And fun!
I wanted it to be 'edgy'. Furthermore I wanted some action. That's why I looked for characters non typical to most chicklits. However, the concept of a romantic comedy novel had to be kept. As I had been doing some research on Indie (selfpublishing) of T-shirts, I noticed many girls like to create their own Tee brands. And there you are: the protagonist of my story was born! All I needed were some hilarious characters to bring in the fun...
A gothic girlfriend working at the cemetery surely was an unusual best friend. I based her character on a Dutch singer songwriter, Lisa Lois. Being a fan of actor John Goodman, the father figure was also easily found. (His name, Levine, is based on the real name of comedy writer Chuck Lorre, well known for series like "Two and a half man" and "Mom'"). Adding a third character, Stern, gave me the opportunity to go crazy on all kinds of stories. Last but not least I needed a good name for the protagonist. I have searched for a name which was unusual, recognisable and desirable. Well... Who wouldn't want a Porsche?
As said in the beginning, inspiration is all around me. "Erratic" is the first book, A set-up, introducing several characters who will be of use in the sequels...
